About me

Maura Sitzmann is a music director, performer, and educator here in Orlando. A recent UCF graduate with her BFA in Musical Theatre, she music directs and accompanies locally, as well as with internationally with RWS Entertainment. Her music direction credits include: The Old Man and the Old Moon (Orlando Fringe), The Great American Trailer Park Musical (Theater West End), And the World Goes Round (New Generation Theatrical), and Fun Home (Citrus Music). Her performance credits include Fun Home (Joan, Citrus Music), Parade (Ensemble, Manhattan Concert Productions), and The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Ensemble, The University of the Arts). Maura also works as a teaching artist and private voice/piano teacher with Citrus Music Lessons. Her original music for “A Christmas Carol” can be heard in a studio cast recording, available on streaming services. 

Currently, Maura is on staff as a teaching artist at the Dr. Phillips Center, specializing in voice and musical theatre, where she most recently music directed their youth academy production of Matilda. Coming up, you can see Maura's music direction in Legally Blonde at Theatre West End, and Annie at Evans High School.

Outside of theatre, Maura enjoys cooking and baking, crocheting, and spending time with her Velcro cat, Nemo. You can often find her exploring the theme parks or new places to eat in the Orlando area. She is always looking for new food recommendations to try!
